MY APPROACH

The purpose of my work is to connect my clients to their inner warrior. To tap into the power of what it means to change your mind. When you change your mind you change your habits. When you change your habits you change your life. Shifting to supportive rituals allows for a reboot to occur in your body’s expression of health and true thriving can emerge.

Your body, mind and spirit are not connected. To say that they are connected is to say they are separate entities in need of connecting. We are beings that communicate health and dysfunction though the avenues of our physiological, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. When we accept our true nature as whole and complete we can begin to view ourselves and our lives with with a holistic lens and synergetic health can flow with ease.

Our work together will address the concrete aspects of how to eat well for your personal body, move well for your lifestyle and feel amazing for your personal pleasure! We will tap into the energetic symptoms that are keeping you stuck and ignite the potency of what it means to live in this precious body of yours! I offer nutrition coaching, structural bodywork and yoga instruction as individual modalities, or as a system of healing that allows the grace of the entirety of your being to emerge.

With nutrition guidance we weave our way through negative eating habits that do not serve you. Instituting the practice of soulful self care rituals that encompass your values, health requirements, and preferences.

Food is medicine for both the body and the spirit…and your diet should be treated as a unique and intuitive experience that can shift and change and morph just as you do. Your body is a highly sensitive messaging system that is in constant communication with you.

I will help you remember how to listen to your body. Your unrepeatable biological system requires an individualized eating landscape and tuning into it will allow you freedom from the number question that I hear, "WHAT DO I EAT?". Fad diets try to put every body into the same box and do not honor the unique ecosystem that is you. 

Together we establish a ritual of eating whole, nutrient dense foods that are truly medicine for YOUR body, power for YOUR brain and nourishing for YOUR soul.

 embody with holistic health

The saying, "everything is connected" is an understatement and all of who we are and all of how we have lived shows up in our tissue. We will take a look at the neurofascial, muscular and emotional patterns that show up in your alignment and posture and decipher how and why you are feeling pain or discomfort. We will make a treatment plan that will allow for any dysfunctional patterns to unwind and release, and with the help of your breath, Re-Weave the fabric of your body into a state of greater alignment. 

Structural bodywork re-works the postural patterns in the body that may be contributing to chronic tension and pain. Injured tissue and/or built up scar tissue can keep you in a pattern of contraction and the end result is limited motion and increased resistance in normal movement. This deep, but nourishing style of bodywork allows for the stuck parts to unstick and space to come into the tissue. We explore movements and exercises that continue the work after your time on the table and can help to restore healthy range of motion and minimize chronic tension. 

My extensive training in anatomy, physiology, soft tissues and fascia (connective tissue) serves as the foundation for how each session is run. I may include different techniques and protocols in each session depending on how you are presenting on that particular day.

HEAL with soulful presence

Yoga allows for the mental/emotional embodiment of all of the changes you make while we are working together. Your food will likely shift a bit and your body may change slightly with each bodywork session. But if you don't change your thought patterns then your body will return to its original contracted state. Change your mind and your body changes. Change your body and not your mind and it will only be a temporary fix. 

This practice roots you back to your inner truth. It reminds you of how you can be powerful, strong, quiet and supple all in the same moment. Calming your mind and creating the space to look at reactionary patterns that could be contributing to your discomfort is where the real healing can begin. Physically yoga's medicine grounds the new rituals you institute into the intelligence systems of your body. The powerful combination of these potent techniques creates the space for you to ignite your innate self healing mechanisms and lays the foundation for a thriving and sustainable shift that happens from the inside out.

Yoga is direct access to your highest self. It teaches you to drop your ego at the door and invite your shadows in to play. It simultaneously teaches you that you are stronger and more powerful than you think, and that you are but a mere spec of dust in this cosmic light shower of the Universe.

Every moment on the mat is an opportunity to choose gratitude, presence, love, karuna and ritual.

Yoga is a gatekeeper of transformation and if you practice you will change. Your body will change, your mind will still, the waves of emotion will settle and you will transform.

Yoga is medicine.
